Easy Activation streamlines the setup process for devices running the Vivi Display App and is automatically available to all organizations with access to Virtual Devices.

Organisations deploying the Vivi Display App across multiple devices can leverage this process to efficiently activate and configure the application within their environment.

By using pre-configured "profiles," users with the appropriate permissions can activate, configure, and deploy the Vivi Display App with minimal effort. Since this feature is accessible to Guest Code accounts, larger organisations can rely on either internal or external staff to perform activations without requiring additional access credentials.

Prerequisites

  • An Activation Profile created in Vivi Central

  • Client Version 3.9.0 installed on a device with a camera

  • Vivi Display installed on the Panel/Screen requiring activation

Creating an Activation Profile in Vivi Central

  • Under Installations > Profiles > Create Profile

  • Select the Organisation (This option will not appear if the Org is already selected)

  • Provide a Name for the profile

  • Select Activation from the Profile Type drop down

  • Click Create

This will create a new Activation Profile where you can set the options for the profile via the edit button on the top right.

Users Tab

Users (other than IT Admins) are assigned to particular activation profiles.

Activating Vivi Display

Once Activation Profiles are created, The activation process is started by either;

Activating through the Client app

The Vivi Application Client will display the activation profiles assigned to the logged in user. All profiles will be available to a user with the IT Admin role assigned.

Scanning the QR code

Scanning the QR code with a device camera will open opens the profile selection page which will list , displaying the profiles available to the logged-in user.

After Selecting selecting the activation profile, the user will be prompted to enter the 12-digit License license key displayed on the Vivi Display App screen.

If the profile is not set for ‘Auto Approval’ on configured for "Auto Approval" in Vivi Central, the display will be in the enter a Pending Approval state, which . This status will be displayed shown both in the Vivi Display app App and on the users device screen.

At this pointstage, If using if an external device is being used to activate the screen) the user , you will be given the option to

  • Return home (Icon on the top right)

  • Change the display Profile,

  • Activate another display

    presented with the following options:

    • Return Home: Accessible via the icon in the top-right corner.

    • Change the Display Profile: Adjust the current display settings.

    • Activate Another Display: Begin the activation process for a different screen.

    Depending on the Profile configuration, the user may be prompted to allocate the display to an existing room and location at this point.
