This document is intended for IT Admins who wish to install the Vivi PWA (Progressive Web App) on managed Chromebooks via policy.

1 - Log in to your Google Admin console

2 - From the Home Page - Select Devices and then Chrome and then ‘Apps & extensions’

3 - Select the Users and Browsers tab.

4 - Select the Organisational Unit you wish the policy to apply to (if you wish to apply this to everyone then leave this on the default setting)

5 - Click the + icon on the bottom right and select the ‘Add by URL’ option. (Pictured above)

6 - In the window provided enter the Vivi PWA URL (https://app.vivi.io) and choose how you wish the application to open when activated and click SAVE

Note: When selecting ‘Open as a Progressive Web App (PWA) only’ the PWA Manifest ID should automatically populate with the Vivi web app URL

7 - Define the Application Policy behaviour.

Force Install and Pin + Pin to ChromeOS Taskbar - the Vivi application icon will be added to the taskbar (pictured below)

Force Install installs the Vivi application but will not add a icon to the taskbar.

8 - Click Save on the top right hand corner of your Browser Window to save the policy;

Troubleshooting (still to be edited/added);

To check the Configuration Policy has been successfully applied ;

1 - Enter chrome://policy in the browser address window on the target device.
