ClickView Integration

ClickView has added support for Vivi playback which makes it easy for teachers to cast videos and clips to Vivi devices within their school. Only Vivi devices running firmware 3.7.0 or greater will be available for casting using the latest version of ClickView.

If your school is using the legacy ClickView Online platform, this will need to be configured using the legacy integration method. Instructions for setting up this legacy integration can be found on the following page: https://vivi.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SHUB/pages/174698

Enabling ClickView Integration with Vivi

Sign into ClickView with an Administrator account: https://www.clickview.net/

The Vivi integration can be enabled in your ClickView account under Settings > Integrations > Player Integrations > Enable Vivi

After enabling the integration, click on the cog icon to connect your Vivi account to ClickView.

Sign-in with your Vivi credentials to link your Vivi and ClickView accounts.

You must be an IT Admin in your Vivi organisation to complete this step.

You have now successfully connected your ClickView and Vivi accounts.

From here, you can test the integration by enabling this on a couple of devices. To do this go to Vivi Central and enable the Content Integration API Override toggle. This toggle can be found under the Details page of each device/room.

Once you have verified this is working the Content Integration API can be enabled for all devices within your organisation by selecting the appropriate dropdown option from the Integrations page of Vivi Central.

Please be aware that this will cause all Vivi devices to switch over to using the latest version of ClickView. Devices registered using ClickView Online will no longer work from the ClickView Online website. Only proceed down this route if you are no longer using ClickView Online and have tested the new integration using a sample of devices.

After switching a device (or set of devices) to use the Content Integration API, we recommend deactivating the pairing between the device and the original ClickView Online integration (if it is still active). This will prevent the device from being visible to users who may still be using ClickView Online.

How to play ClickView videos through Vivi

Once the integration has been enabled users will be able to play ClickView videos via Vivi.

When connected to a room, Select Play Content and click the orange ClickView button. This will place the device into ClickView mode making it available for casting.

Users can then navigate the ClickView webpage to find the video content they would like to playback.

The Vivi room will appear and can be selected under the cast menu on the ClickView video.

Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble casting videos from the latest version of ClickView to your Vivi device, please check the following:

  • Make sure that you have whitelisted inbound and outbound traffic to wss://*.vivi.io

  • Make sure that the device you are attempting to cast to is connected to the internet, and that the associated room has enabled the Content Integration API Override toggle in Vivi Central.
