Stream to Students
Stream to Students allows teachers to share what's on their Vivi screen directly to students’ personal devices - perfect for supporting visibility in large classrooms or for students seated farther away.
While viewing the live stream, students can also use interactive features like:
Whiteboard
Screenshots
Annotations
This creates more ways for students to stay engaged and participate in real-time.
Getting Started: IT Admin Setup
To use Stream to Students, IT Admins need to enable these Feature Flags under the Organization → Features tab:
Required Feature Flags
Enable Stream to Student
Allows teachers to stream to student accounts currently present in their Vivi Room with the Classroom Stream Viewer permission.Enable Stream to Student for All Students
Allows teachers to stream content to all students currently present in their Vivi Room, even if they don’t have the Classroom Stream Viewer flag.
Classroom Stream Viewer (per student)
This is a user-specific flag that grants permanent access to the stream feature within the Vivi app.
Note: The Vivi box you are connecting to stream to students with will need to be on firmware version 3.10.0 or newer.

The Presenter Experience
Stream to Students is built directly into the presenter’s normal Vivi workflow—no special steps required.
If students have the Classroom Stream Viewer flag, they’ll automatically have access to the stream when it starts.
If the Stream to All Students setting is enabled, presenters will see a toggle on the Room screen to activate it for everyone in that room.
The presenter can also view the number of students connected to the stream
The Student Experience
When the feature is enabled, students see a new Classroom Stream tile in their Vivi Room view.
They can join the stream once the teacher begins presenting
If the stream hasn’t started yet, they’ll see a waiting message
Students can go fullscreen, take screenshots, and annotate content in real-time
If Stream to All Students is active, all students in the classroom will automatically have access to this tile:

If the presenter is not actively streaming and a student opens the tile, they will see this overlay.
Students can use Fullscreen mode or annotate what is being streamed.
