3.14 Stream to Students
The Stream to Students feature allows teachers to stream the classroom display to student devices.
This features requires updating to Version 3.10 or above. Please ensure you are running the latest version of Vivi to access this feature. If, after updating, it is still not available, please speak to your IT Administrator.
Stream to Students is currently limited to 10 students accessing the classroom stream in each room and is currently only supported in single-display rooms.
Enabling Stream to Students - for Teachers
To allow students to view a stream of the classroom display, toggle on the ‘Stream to all students’ switch.
Once toggled on, students will be able to view the classroom display on their own devices.
Students will only be able to view items shared to the classroom display via Share Screen, Share Window, and Share Camera.
Audio will not stream to the students' devices.
To remove the ability for students to view a stream of the classroom display, toggle off the ‘Stream to all students’ switch.
Viewing the Classroom Stream - for Students
To view the stream of the classroom display on their device, students select Classroom Stream.
Note: The Classroom Stream button will only be active if the teacher has toggled on ‘Stream to all students’.
If no one is sharing, students will see a ‘Waiting for stream to start…’ holding display.
Once the teacher begins sharing to the classroom display, the students will see this streamed live on their device. Students can choose to leave the stream by selecting Back in the upper left, go into full screen by selecting the arrows icon in the upper right, or annotate over a screenshot of the display using the pencil icon in the lower left.
