9. Vivi Interactive
Vivi Interactive allows teachers to launch the Vivi Whiteboard directly from the classroom display when using a touch screen such as an interactive flat panel.
Vivi Interactive requires both the Vivi box firmware and the Vivi app to be on v3.12.0 or higher. This feature needs to be enabled by an IT Administrator prior to use.
To launch the Whiteboard from the classroom display, you will need to be connected to the classroom in your Vivi app. On the classroom display, select the V icon in the lower left, then select Whiteboard.
The Whiteboard will open. The toolbar on the lower left can be used to draw on the Whiteboard. From left to right, these tools are:
Move Toolbar: Drag the toolbar to another location on the display.
Shrink Toolbar: Hide the toolbar to give more space on the Whiteboard.
Select: Click on items to select them and move, resize and edit them.
Pen: Draw a solid line on the Whiteboard.
Highlighter: Draw an opaque line on the Whiteboard.
Eraser: Erase portions of a pen or highlighter lines, or eraser entire pieces of text or shapes.
Shapes: Draw different shapes and straight lines on the Whiteboard.
Text: Type text onto the Whiteboard. Note: this will only be available if the Vivi app on your device (such as your laptop) is also running the Whiteboard.
Background: Load a background image.
Undo/Redo: Undo or redo the last action.
Trash Can: Clear that individual board.
Selecting a tool will give additional options. For example, in the screenshot below, the pen has been selected, displaying the ability to change the line color and thickness.
The toolbar on the lower right can be used to control the Whiteboard. From left to right, these tools are:
Stop: Stop sharing the Whiteboard.
Board Navigation Arrows and Numbers: Navigate between different boards. Select the numbers to view all the boards that have been created.
+ Add Board: Add additional boards to the Whiteboard.
Additional Options (Three-Line Menu): Access more options including Clear All Boards.
Connecting the Vivi App to Vivi Interactive
When a Whiteboard is launched on the classroom display, to connect the Vivi app to it, select Whiteboard.
When the Whiteboard opens, select Share in the upper right.
A pop-up will appear asking if you want to Replace or Keep the exisiting content. If Replace is selected, the content on the classroom display will be deleted and replaced with any content in the Vivi app. If Keep is selected, the content on the classroom display will be added as additional boards into the Vivi app.
