This document will outline the steps for the activation of Vivi Anywhere on Promethean panels managed by Radix. The step-by-step guide shows the workflow from installation to panel set up from the perspective of an organization’s IT director. (This document is intended for internal use only.)
Getting started with Vivi:
(These steps require customers to have a Radix subscription that is used to manage the Promethean panels. If customers do not have Radix, please follow these instructions instead)
Here is a quick step-by-step guide to walk you through the setup of Vivi Anywhere for your organization! This guide will walk you through the following steps:

By the end of this process, all Promethean panels will be running Vivi, and your organization will be able to leverage Vivi to enhance connection, communication, and collaboration in the classroom and around the school.
1. Install Vivi on your Panels

Download the Vivi Anywhere APK file for Promethean from https://www.vivi.io/downloads/

Navigate to the Repositories menu in Radix

Select Add New in Packages

For the upload method select Upload File, and choose the APK file downloaded earlier
Prerequisites
Before you begin, please ensure you have an active Radix subscription.
Install
Login to Radix and navigate to your Devices tab.
Select the devices you wish to install Vivi Display to and at the top of the menu, click 'Install Packages',
Click on ‘Add New’ at the bottom of the Install package window and select ‘Upload file’. Select the Vivi Display APK file on your local machine.

Fill in the remaining mandatory fields and select 'Confirm'

Select the desired Promethean panels and apply the newly created install package
Expected Panel Behavior: When the Vivi software is launched on a panel at this step in the process, a splash screen displaying pairing/sign up instructions will appear:
Welcome to Vivi! Scan the QR code or contact your Vivi sales representative to complete your setup
QR code will show 3 different options to continue with setup
1. New Customer: Fill out Vivi form and get in contact with a sales rep to create Vivi Central account
2. Existing Customer (Automatic Bulk): Link to setup instructions
3. Existing Customer (Self Set-up Manual): Directions to manually setup with MAC addresses in Vivi Central
2. Pair your Promethean Panels to Vivi Central
In Radix, select all of the panels that have Vivi installed
Under More Actions, select Export to CSV
Email the CSV file to your Vivi sales representative
To finish pairing, Vivi will bulk upload the Hardware IDs into Vivi Central as part of the pre-work for the tech setup process (the upload will take ~1 business day from when the CSV file is received)
You will be contacted by Vivi when your panels are connected in Vivi Central and ready to be used!
🎉 Congratulations! Vivi is now active on your panels🎉
Successfully activated panels will display a Welcome to Vivi splash screen. Once the license is activated, the remaining setup steps will be the same as Vivi Boxes in Vivi Central
Onboarding process for Non-Radix users:

1. Sideloading Vivi on your Panels
Instructions to sideload the Vivi app onto your panels can be found here.
2. Pairing your Panels to Vivi Central
Launch the Vivi App from your Promethean Panel
The App should display an Android/Hardware ID and a QR code
Scan the QR code from another device
This will launch the Vivi Client App on your device. You will need to log into the app if you are not already
Your Promethean is now linked to your Vivi account and ready for use!
To link more panels, simply repeat the steps above to connect your panels to Vivi

Activate your Vivi Pilot License
(License Management will not be available in Vivi Central for the initial phase of Vivi Anywhere for Promethean)
Log into Vivi Central
Navigate to Virtual Devices
Select the devices you would like to use Vivi on and click Activate
Organizations may activate as many devices as they would like during the pilot phase. Pilot licenses are not limited by the number of devices, only by pilot duration.
The Vivi Central Virtual Devices page will display a status bar that indicates how many licenses are in use for an organization
ex. You have X out of ∞ licenses remaining
Once the file has been uploaded, select the Vivi Display APK file from the list and click Apply at the bottom of the menu. This will automatically install Vivi Display to all of your selected panels!
