Configuring Layouts in signage
The configuration of layouts for digital signage is integrated into the signage wizard, organized into clear steps as follows:
Head to Signage in the Vivi Central portal and click on ‘Create Signage Schedule’.
Select your Organisation from the drop-down if the context is not applied and click on ‘Next’.
You can now select your preferred layout zone. Options available are One Zone, Two Zone-Left, Two Zone- Right.
Clicking on ‘+ Add Content’ in each zone, opens Add Content.
Adding media items in the Two-zone layout comes with a few caveats.
Websites are not supported in the main zone, however Google Slides is supported
The secondary zones will only support widgets. At this stage we only support the clock and weather widget
You are able preview your selections and may remove items you have added by clicking on the top right red ‘bin’ icon
You can also switch the preview to portrait mode by selecting the 'Portrait Preview' toggle
By clicking ‘Next’, you can select the Signage Schedule destination. You can select existing Rooms & Locations, Destinations or Create a New Destination.
By clicking on 'Next', you can now schedule the signage as per your requirements.
The final step presents an overview of all selections made, including the chosen layout, content assignments, destination, and scheduling details. This summary allows for a final review and confirmation, ensuring accuracy before the digital signage goes live.
