Easy Activation simplifies the setup process on devices that run the Vivi Display App and is available to all organisation with access to Virtual Devices by default.
Organisations looking to deploy Vivi Display on multiple devices across their fleet can utilise this process to get the application running in their environment.
Using pre configured ‘profiles’ the process allows users with the relevant permissions to activate, configure and deploy the Vivi Display App with minimum of fuss and because this feature is available to Guest code accounts, larger organisations can use external or internal staff to carry out the activations without needing to worry about additional access.
Prerequisites.
An Activation Profile created in Vivi Central.
Client Version 3.9.0 installed on a device with a camera.
Vivi Display installed on the Panel/Screen requiring activation.
Creating an Activation Profile in Vivi Central
Under Installations > Profiles > Create Profile
Select the Organisation (This option will not appear if the Org is already selected)
Provide a Name for the profile
Select Activation from the Profile Type drop down
Click Create
This will create a new Activation Profile where you can set the options for the profile via the edit button on the top right;
The Details Tab
The Users Tab
Users (other than IT Admins) are assigned to particular activation profiles.
The History Tab
The history of the activation profile is viewed through the History Tab.
Activating Vivi Display
Once Activation Profiles are created, The activation process is started by either;
The installation workflow from the client (link out to page goes here)
The Vivi Application Client will display the activation profiles assigned to the logged in user.
All profiles will be available to a user with the IT Admin role assigned.
Scanning the QR code shown on the Vivi Display App.
Scanning the QR code with a device camera will open the profile selection page which will list the profiles available to the logged in user.
After Selecting the activation profile, the user will be prompted to enter the 12 digit License key displayed on the Vivi Display App screen
If the profile is not set for ‘Auto Approval’ on Vivi Central the display will be in the Pending Approval state, which will be displayed in the Vivi Display app and on the users device screen;
Once Approved a message will be displayed in the Vivi Display app or on the screen of the users device
At this point, If using an external device to activate the screen) the user will be given the option to
Return home (Icon on the top right)
Change the display Profile,
Activate another display.
Note: Depending on the Profile configuration - The user may be prompted to allocate the display to an existing room and location at this point.
