This section contains the following settings
Power Management
This section contains the following settings
Mode → None, IP Serial and USB to Serial(requires a USB to Serial cable connection)
Display type → Promethean, Commbox, etc.
Input source → The system selects the source to switch to when powering on (USB to Serial). This will only occur if the current source is not the selected input source, preventing the execution of unnecessary serial commands.
Active Periods → Users can set a display to be turned ON at the beginning of an active period and OFF at the end of the active period. Displays will remain ON during the active period. Outside of the active period, displays will be turned OFF when idle.
A more granular setting is available on Vivi Central>Virtual Devices>Edit Device Settings>Power Management menu.
Turn off display → Turns off the monitor/panel when applied.
Power Management >Power On Events
Outside of active periods set for the display, this feature enables users to activate the display when specific events occur.
Power Management > Idle timeout
Users can select the default period of inactivity after which the Vivi Display will turn off.
The display will turn off after this period of inactivity on the Vivi Display. Exercise caution when using this feature if other apps are running on the display.
Android Settings > Display over other apps
On some panels, Vivi Display can set to display over other apps. While on others, this permission has to be granted by users. Clicking on ‘Go to Android Settings’ opens up the android settings of your panel so the users can enable ‘display over other apps’. This helps Vivi Anywhere come to the foreground of the panel.
