The Share Camera feature allows teachers to share a camera directly to the classroom display. This can include a webcam built into the teacher’s device, a camera (such as a webcam or document camera) connected to the teacher’s device via a USB cable, or a camera connected to the Vivi box.
This feature requires updates to the Vivi app and the Vivi hardware (Version 3.9.0 or newer). If it is not available, ensure your Vivi app is up-to-date (you can check your app version by clicking on the Settings cog in the upper-right corner of the app. The Vivi Version will be displayed in the bottom-left of the pop-up). If still not available, speak to your IT Administrator.
This feature is not available on the ChromeOS app. Instead, use the Vivi Web App.
Using Share Camera
To begin sharing your camera to the classroom display, connect to a room then click Share Camera.
Note: The first time you use Share Camera you may need to give Vivi access to your camera. A permission pop-up will appear. Please ensure you click Allow.
The camera will share to the display.
