A playlist is a user-created collection of content items that can be used in a signage schedule. The items in a playlist include:
Media files: Image, Video, Audio, PowerPoint, Google Slides
Links: Video Link, Video Stream, Website
Widgets
Templates
Another Playlist can be nested inside a playlist
Playlists are re-usable and can be assigned across multiple signage schedules.
To view the Playlists page in Vivi Central, expand the Signage menu in Vivi Central and click on Playlists.
Creating a Playlist
Under the Signage menu in Vivi Central, select Playlists.
Click + Create Playlist.
Enter a name for the playlist and click Create.
Next you will be prompted to select content to add to the playlist. Select the content type to add from the available Media, Playlists, Widgets and Templates tabs in the add content modal.
Click + Add to Playlist button to add the items to the playlist.
Once the content has been added to the playlist select Edit Playlist. This will allow you to reorder the items, set their playback duration and add additional content.
Once completed click Save to apply changes.
Modifying a Playlist
Under the Signage menu in Vivi Central, select Playlists. This will display the list of playlists.
You can change a playlist's name by selecting the rename icon next to the playlist.
To make changes to a playlist, click on the playlist name. This will bring up the playlist's information, with the Content tab being the default view.
To modify the items in the playlist click the Edit Playlist button in the top right of the page. On this page you will be able to:
Add additional content by clicking the + Add Content button.
Change the order of content
Change the playback duration of content
Remove items from the playlist by selecting and clicking the remove button at the bottom of the page.
Click Save once completed to apply the changes to the playlist.
Deleting a Playlist
Under the Signage menu in Vivi Central, select Playlists. This will display the list of playlists.
To delete a playlist click the red bin icon next to the corresponding playlist.
Deleting a Playlist is irreversible
Deleting a playlist will not delete the content included within the playlist
You are unable to delete playlists that are included within another playlist. You first have to remove it from the playlist that is using it in order to delete it.
