Handling unsupported content in Multi-zone Layouts [need screenshots]

Vivi manages unsupported content types, such as websites, in Multi-zone Layouts with alerts and UI indications to guide users effectively:

  • Unsupported media types are automatically greyed out in the "Add Content" modal when a Multi-zone Layout is selected, clearly indicating which content types cannot be added to the layout.

  • Upon transitioning from the default full-screen layout to a Multi-zone Layout, any previously selected content that is unsupported in the new layout is indicated by being greyed out. Vivi also presents an alert to inform users about these limitations, ensuring clarity and preventing configuration errors.

  • For playlists that include unsupported content types within a Multi-zone Layout, Vivi highlights these items by greying them out. An alert is then displayed, advising users to either edit the playlist to remove or adjust unsupported content or to acknowledge that these elements will not be displayed. This approach ensures users are informed about the content that will be effectively utilized in their Multi-zone Layouts, allowing for a seamless and error-free digital signage experience.
