Multizone Layouts in Digital Signage allow the screen to be divided into multiple zones, each capable of displaying different content concurrently. This allows a more flexible and engaging presentation of information. In the first phase of our multizone release, we will be providing one and two-zone layouts.

Prerequisites

For supporting Multizone Layouts in Signage,

  • Update boxes to firmware version 3.8

  • Contact Support to enable the Multizone feature flag for your organization

  • You will need the IT Admin or Signage Admin role

Configuring Layouts in signage

Head to Signage in the Vivi Central portal and click on ‘Create Signage Schedule’:

You can now select your preferred layout zone. Options available are One Zone, Two Zone-Left, Two Zone- Right.

Clicking on ‘+ Add Content’ in each zone opens Add Content. In a two-zone layout, we support Google Slides in the larger window and the clock and weather widget in the widget window.

You can remove items by clicking on the top right red ‘bin’ icon. You can also switch the preview to portrait mode by selecting the 'Portrait Preview' toggle:

By clicking ‘Next’, you can select the Signage Schedule destination:

You can select existing Rooms & Locations, Destinations or Create a New Destination:

By clicking on 'Next', you can now schedule the signage as per your requirements.

The final step presents an overview of all selections made, including the chosen layout, content assignments, destination, and scheduling details. This summary allows for a final review and confirmation, ensuring accuracy before the digital signage goes live.
