3.14 Extended Display

Vivi can be used to extend your display on Windows and MacBook devices. When using certain apps, such as PowerPoint, this may happen automatically. However, to do this manually, use the instructions below.

On Windows

  1. Begin sharing your screen by selecting Share Screen.

  2. Once sharing, press the Windows key and the p key at the same time.

  3. Using the arrows keys or your mouse, choose Extend

  4. Vivi will now function as an added display.

Please note that extended display will only function on systems with a single display. If a system has more than one display already, Vivi will only mirror the display where the application resides (e.g. if you move the Vivi app to screen 1, it will mirror screen 1. if you move the app to screen 2 it will mirror screen 2).

On Mac

Extended Desktop can be used on MacBooks in both Native Streaming and AirPlay (Screen Mirroring) modes. For further information on these, refer to section 5.2.

Native Streaming

  1. Begin sharing your screen by selecting Share Screen.

  2. Once presenting open the Vivi menu in the upper-right and select 'Use As Separate Display'.

  3. Vivi will now function as an added display.
