Choose up to 10 rooms in the same location/sub-location, then click Combine. A pop-up will appear that will allow you to rename the Room Combination (by default it will be a name that lists the individual rooms), then select Confirm.

The Vivi devices will then need to do a soft restart to join them together. This generally takes up to 30 seconds. Once combined, you will be automatically connected to the combined room.

Presenting in a Combined Room

In a Combined Room, to begin presenting, select Share Screen. A bar will then appear at the bottom of the app allowing you to select either All Displays or an individual display. Depending on the set-up of the Vivi devices, the displays may either have a specific name or be numbered with Display 1, Display 2, etc. To know what number display each room is, look at the information bar on the Classroom Display.

Once sharing, the drop down in the lower tool bar on the homepage can be used to control individual displays.

To finish sharing, use either the Stop button in the floating toolbar, in the orange bar at the bottom of the homepage, or Stop All button.

Audio in Combined Rooms

By default, audio will only play to the first display selected in a Combined Room. You can enable “All Display Audio” to have audio sent to all displays. To do this, go to Settings through the cog in the upper right, select Room Settings, check the box next to All Display Audio, use the slider to select how long the All Display Audio will be enabled for, then select Apply Settings.

Separating Combined Rooms

Any teacher is able to break apart a Combine Room, even if they did not create it. To separate, click on the Uncombine Rooms button next to the room name in the room’s homepage. The Vivi devices will then need to do a soft restart to break them apart. This generally takes no more than 30 seconds. Once separated, you will be able to connect to individual rooms.
