Firewall Exceptions
For the Vivi Box to operate correctly, it must be able to connect to Vivi Central. This typically requires firewall exceptions on your network.
You can confirm connectivity at any time from the Status page in the Vivi Web Console.
Where possible, we recommend allowing the following wildcard domains:
*.vivi.io (HTTP and HTTPS)
*.vivi-box.io
*.googlevideo.com
If your network does not support wildcard rules, please contact Vivi Support for assistance. Maintaining a list of individual domains can be unreliable, as endpoints may change over time.
Whitelisting IP addresses is not recommended, as these can change without notice and may result in service disruption.
Some third-party security services or proxies may also require these domains to be explicitly allowed. Even if ports 80 and 443 are open, this alone is not sufficient. Vivi uses application-level connections, which are often restricted by default policies that only allow standard web browsing.
