Power Management for Vivi Display

You can access the Power Management console by tapping the 'Display Settings' button located at the top right of the panel. The console provides two classifications: the first focuses on Power Management and the second on Power On Events.

This section contains the following settings

  • Display type: Promethean, Commbox, None

  • Input source: The system selects the source to switch to when powering on (RS232 Only). This will only occur if the current source is not the selected input source, preventing the execution of unnecessary serial commands.

  • Active Periods: You can set a display to be turned ON at the beginning of an active period and OFF at the end of the active period. Displays will remain ON during the active period. Outside of the active period, displays will be turned OFF when idle.

  • Turn off display: Turns off the monitor/panel when applied.

Power On Events

This feature enables users to activate the display when specific events occur, even if it has been turned OFF. Within this section, users can select or configure various events according to their preferences. Once triggered, any of these events will activate the Vivi Display. A couple of events available include

  • Join room

  • Message Announcements

  • Signage Schedule Start

  • Present Screen or Play Content

  • Emergency has been triggered

Idle timeout

Users can select the default period of inactivity after which the Vivi Display will turn off.

The display will turn off after this period of inactivity on the Vivi Display. Please exercise caution when using this feature if other apps are running on the display.

Start up Settings

The 'Launch on Boot' feature ensures Vivi Display automatically starts and appears in the foreground when the panel is turned on. To activate this functionality, users need to enable the 'Display over other Apps' option in the Android settings of their Promethean or Commbox panels.

Tap on ‘Go to Android Settings’ and allow this for Vivi Display:
