Signage Schedules

Signage Schedules are used to control and manage where and when signage content is displayed across your Vivi fleet.

The Signage Schedule page can be accessed in Vivi Central by selecting Signage from the left hand menu.

Creating a Signage Schedule

  • To create a Signage Schedule in Vivi Central click on Signage from the left-hand menu.

  • Click Create Signage Schedule.

Adding Content

  • On the Content page Select + Add Content to open up the media library window.

  • At the add content step you will be provided a number options for adding content:

    • You can add media items to the media library by clicking + Add Files. Once the media is uploaded, it will appear in the list and can be selected.

    • You can add a link item by clicking + Add Links.

    • You can select a single media, widget or template item to be displayed on the Signage Schedule.

    • You can display multiple items by adding a Playlist. A Playlist will first need to be created, instructions for creating a playlist can be found on our Playlists page

  • Once you have selected the content click the + Add Item or + Add Playlist button to confirm and add this to the schedule.

  • Click Next to proceed to the Destination configuration page.

Setting the Destination and Schedule Name

  • Enter a name for the Signage Schedule

  • Choose a destination where signage will be displayed. You have the option to select from either the list of signage destinations or from the Locations & Rooms list.

  • A New Destination can also be created directly on this page by selecting the + New Destination button. The process for creating destinations is covered in detail on our Destinations page.

  • Click Next to proceed to the Date and Time step.

Setting the Date and Time

  • Select a scheduled Date, Start and End Time for the signage to be displayed.

  • Choose if you would like the schedule to repeat. You can choose between Never, Daily, Weekly and Fortnightly.

  • You also have the option to set a precedence for the schedule. This allows you to configure how signage interacts with screen sharing in the rooms. There are three precedence options available:

    • None: Screen sharing and video playback will stop the schedule playback

    • Interrupt: This option will interrupt sharing and video playback when the schedule starts.

    • Interrupt and Lock: This option will prevent screen sharing and video playback while the schedule is in progress.

  • Set a Priority for the schedule. Priority is used to resolve conflicts between overlapping schedules. The higher priority schedule will be displayed.

 

  • Click Next to proceed to the Overview step.

  • An overview of the schedule will be displayed to review the configuration.

  • Click Schedule Signage to finish creating the Signage Schedule.

Schedules follow a first-come, first-served basis. Overlapping schedules start only after earlier ones finish.

Modifying a Signage Schedule

  • Select the Signage option from the left hand menu in Vivi Central to display the list of existing schedules.

  • Click on the name of the schedule to modify. This will load the information for the schedule. By default, this opens up the Details tab.

  • To update the details displayed on this page:

    • Click Edit

    • Update the signage details as required.

    • Click Save Changes.

  • To modify the destination:

    • Click the Destination tab and click Edit.

    • The Destination Type can be set to Signage Group or Room or Location, and a new room or signage group can be selected.

    • Click Save Changes.

  • To modify the Content:

    • Click the Content tab.

    • Use the Remove button to remove the existing content item from the schedule

    • Once removed Click the + Add Content button and select a new Media, Widget, Playlist or Template item.

    • Click + Add Item

Deleting a Signage Schedule

  • Click Signage from the left-hand menu in Vivi central

  • To delete a Signage Schedule click the red bin icon next to the corresponding schedule
