Adding Video Streams
Select the “Media” link in Vivi Central.
Click on “Add Media” and choose “Add video stream”.
Enter a name for the media.
Add the Video Stream URL.
Click Create.
We recommend when adding a video stream, you don’t put this within a playlist but instead just play the media on its own within a schedule.
Vivi supports most standard video streaming formats including RTSP and HLS. Please note, third-party broadcast/streaming software is needed to support this feature.
Requires firmware >= 2.5.3 to function.
Vivi expects BOTH H.264 and AAC/MP3 audio inside the stream
If RSTP is forced to TCP, it will fail - we can only run RTSP over UDP.
Authentication may play a role in RTSP videos
Because there are many factors involved, Vivi cannot guarantee all RTSP video will play. There may be an unknown incompatibility.
