WiFi Configuration

A few steps must be taken to configure the box.

1. Attach the WiFi aerial

2. You will then need to activate the box via the usual Ethernet method first. (If you having trouble doing that check our guides on how to connect to the Vivi's web console to configure a box for activation here)

3. Once the box has activated visit the boxes web console page.

4. Click on the network settings option on the right.

5. Under connection then interface select WiFi.

6. You will now have the option to scan for available SSID or enter a manual one.

   1. For available SSID hit the Scan option under SSID and select your network from the list.

   2. For a manual SSID tick the tick box Enter manually and enter the name of the SSID.

7. Select the Wifi security method. We currently support:

   1. Enterprise (WPA2-Enterprise, 802.11X, RADIUS)

   2. Personal (WPA2-Personal, PSK)

   3. Unsecured

8. Next enter relevant security keys, clicking done when entered.

9. With these details entered the box will automatically try and connect with the status option indicating if this was successful.

Vivi boxes are capable of operating on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands under IEEE standards 802.11 b/g/n/ac (up to WiFi 5)
