Triggering an emergency
IT Admins are able to trigger Emergencies via both Vivi Central and the Vivi App.
This page will focus on how emergencies can be triggered via Vivi Central. The Emergency Broadcast page from the Teacher Guide covers the process on how emergencies can be triggered via the Vivi app.
To trigger an emergency:
Go to the Emergencies menu in Vivi Central.
Click the Trigger Emergency button in the top-right corner
Select Emergency Type from the drop down menu. This drop down will include a list of all the default and configured Emergency types in your organisation.
Select a Location from the dropdown menu to specify where the Emergency will be active.
Click Create to trigger the Emergency.
Upon confirming the emergency, all Vivi Boxes within the triggered location or organisation will broadcast a message detailing the type of emergency, who triggered the emergency and the location from which the emergency broadcast was triggered.
Additionally, an emergency broadcast will trigger an email and SMS notification to all pre-configured Emergency Wardens with information on the situational context.
