Roles
Roles can be assigned depending on your organisations authority:
Creating a relevant access control group in an external authentication source (Google, SAML, etc), or;
Editing users and adding the roles directly
If an external authentication source is being used, but a relevant access control group hasn’t been specified, roles can be manually granted to users via Vivi Central.
Role | Description | Permissions |
---|---|---|
Announcer | Can make Text and Video Announcements organization-wide. Has some prerequisites. |

IT Admin | Full access to Vivi Central and all settings. Additional roles are assigned automatically when a user is assigned the IT Admin role |
All access

E-Learning Admin | Has restricted access to view Metrics in Vivi Central. E-Learning Admins are also given read-only access to view the organization’s information. |

Emergency Authorized | If “All Presenters Can Trigger Emergencies” is set to false, this role will grant this user the ability to trigger emergencies within the Vivi App. |

Helpdesk | Has permissions focused on assisting with user issues such as managing guest access and rebooting devices remotely. Has read-only access to the organization’s device and user information. |

Presenter | Has the ability to access Share Screen and Play Content in the Vivi App and can allow access to students and guest presenters in the same room. |

Signage Admin | Has access to manage Digital Signage only. |

Student | Restricted access. Can be permitted to share their screen by a Presenter. If no roles are assigned to a user, they are given Student access. |

Technician | Can edit devices, rooms and update firmware & configure apps. Can create installation profiles and installers. Has read access to locations and splash |
