Accessing the Web Console

The Web Console is the web-based configuration page for a particular Vivi. You can access it using a web browser by either connecting directly to the IP address of the Vivi or using its inbuilt Wi-Fi access point.

Default Login Details

  • Username: admin

  • Password: v!v!adm!n

The administrator password can be changed using Vivi Central by following these instructions.

Using the Wi-Fi Access Point

Each Vivi creates a Wi-Fi access point for ten minutes after powering on or rebooting. Use this method if you can't connect to the Web Console over the local network or don't know the IP address. The Wi-Fi access point can be disabled via Vivi Central once the Vivi is configured.

To Connect:

  1. Restart the Vivi.

  2. Connect to the Wi-Fi network with the SSID: Vivi.

  3. Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.123.1.

  4. Log in using the credentials:

    • Username: admin

    • Password: v!v!adm!n

  5. Go to Network Settings.

  6. Enter your home Wi-Fi SSID and password.

  7. Scroll down and click Save.

  8. Reconnect your device to your home Wi-Fi network.

The Wi-Fi access point will not start if the Vivi has successfully connected to a Wi-Fi network. For Windows users, the network may show as "Limited Connectivity" since it connects directly to the Vivi and not the Internet.

Accessing via Local Network

If you're on the same network as the Vivi, you can access the Web Console directly:

Through Vivi Central

  1. Log in to Vivi Central.

  2. Go to Devices > Configure Devices.

  3. Find your Vivi in the list and click on the corresponding IP address.

  4. Log in using your credentials.

Through your Browser

  1. Open a web browser and enter the address http://x.x.x.x (replace x.x.x.x with the IP of your Vivi, e.g., http://192.168.1.107).

  2. Log in using your credentials.

Using Keyboard & Mouse

For Vivi units running version 2.8.2 or later, you can access the Web Console by plugging in a mouse and keyboard.

To Connect:

  1. Connect a keyboard and mouse to the Vivi on one of the USB ports.

  2. When “Starting…” is displayed on the screen, press F1, F2, F10, F12, or Delete.

  3. Wait up to 20 seconds for the Web Console to launch (a splash screen may appear first).

  4. Use the keyboard and mouse to navigate the Web Console on the screen connected to the Vivi unit.

If the keyboard and mouse do not respond, try plugging the keyboard into the last USB port to rule out any potential hardware issues.
